We were asked by the owners to create a summer home with signature mountain-style architecture. The timbers in the home are large, and adzed to create a hewn look. The fleur-de-lis timber trusses were craned into position and then glazed on-site to create the exterior gable view down to the fairway below. The Southwest doors are distressed cedar and the hardwood floors are Australian Cypress. The hand plastered walls help effectively set off the various woods and granite. On the exterior, the owners chose a wavy-edge cedar siding with local granite stone buttresses and veneer by master mason, Geoff Murphy. The unique entry door was carved by Ramsey Doors.
